International personnel assignments are associated with numerous social security issues - especially in the case of secondments. In order to provide companies with targeted support, the Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK) set up a standardised nationwide service hotline in March 2025.
Single point of contact for intergovernmental social insurance
Under the telephone number +43 5 0766-6100 is now available to entrepreneurs and their tax or labour law representatives as a central point of contact for all questions relating to applicable social security law for cross-border employment.
The service hotline will be standardised throughout Austria, regardless of where the company is based or where the affected employees live. Telephone numbers already known in the federal states will remain active: calls will be automatically redirected to the new central hotline to ensure a smooth transition.
